Spirit of Istria is a family-run accommodation experience in the heart of Slovenian Istria, where warmth and authentic Istrian nature await you.
We believe that there is more to holidays than just a place to sleep. That’s why we’ve created a space where you can relax, connect with nature, and experience true Istrian life – from walks among vineyards and olive groves to cycling along rolling paths and enjoying the tranquility under the midday sun.
Tomaž is the host who combines a passion for nature, mountain guiding, and yoga. As an experienced mountaineer and licensed mountain guide, he is familiar with hidden corners of Slovenian Istria and is happy to share them with guests by arrangement. He is also a certified Kundalini yoga instructor.
Since Tomaž is often on the move, you will be welcomed by Katja or Gaja.
Katja is a certified coach who knows how to create a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere where guests feel at home and completely carefree. She is also an amateur aromatherapist and will bring a touch of fragrant nature to your stay.
Gaja will greet you with energy, positivity, and a wide smile.
